Annotation

The chair’s design is based on a common situation in which seating naturally becomes a place for putting clothes. Clothes often end up on chairs between wearing and washing, while preparing for the next day, or when drying a small number of items without a drying rack—often also due to limited space. The DryFold chair embraces this habit as an integral part of its function. It combines seating with the option of placing and drying clothes in a single, adaptable form. Partial unfolding allows both functions at once, while full unfolding creates a larger drying surface. The object thus responds to everyday reality with a simple and functional solution. DryFold: yesterday it was a drying rack, today it is a chair
