BLURRING THE LINES
Annotation
The Blurring the Lines project is the result of critical reflection on the current state of public space in the immediate vicinity of the Faculty of Architecture. Other institutions on campus have already established their own spatial identity, but our faculty's parterre has remained fragmented and separated from the rest of the public space. Our goal was to unify and cultivate this area to better reflect the character of the school. The blurring of boundaries is reflected in all levels of the design. It is not a visual change, but a fundamental disruption of the barriers that are currently evident where the academic community meets the wider public, paved areas meet green areas, and the Faculty of Architecture building meets the rest of the campus.
