HILLTOPPING
Annotation
HILLTOPPING = A natural phenomenon observed in butterflies. Butterflies seek out higher places in the landscape where they mate, rest, and meet.
In our design, hilltops are transformed into mounds. Notches, depressions, and basins in the terrain become anti-mounds. These "mounds" are not a random concept—they work because they are highly visible and create a diverse environment. Together, they create a system of terrain modeling that structures the space without barriers and naturally slows down movement, inviting people to stop.
LIFE CYCLE = Each stage of a butterfly's life has its own needs—this can also be applied to this design, which responds to the needs of all age groups.
