This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the design of the Perk Hotel in Vimperk. The new building serves as a social and landmark on the border between the city and the Šumava foothills. The building becomes a natural extension of the sports complex and integrates active recreation. The architectural concept is grounded in three pillars: Wood. Concrete. Rationality. The design purposefully works with material contrasts. The raw expression of the reinforced concrete base is complemented by the lightness and ecological character of wood, which defines both the load-bearing system of CLT panels and the interior details themselves. The rationality of form is reflected in the volumes and logical layout of the facility from the publicly accessible ground floor with a reception area and restaurant.
