Annotation

Starting at the Main Train Station and beginning at Vítkov, a range of hills stretches eastward all the way to Černý most. Both ends are now connected by a trail, though it is interrupted or neglected in places. Along the way, various urban landscapes alternate, ranging from the block-style development in Žižkov to the village-like settlement around Smetanka and the modernist housing estate at Černý most. Neglected sections are supplemented with new development. Impassable areas are spanned by footbridges that overcome barriers for pedestrians. Natural areas that have intrinsic value but are being lost in the urban landscape due to poor maintenance are revitalized and enhanced with places to pause. Some slopes are repurposed, while others are left to urban wilderness.
