LDN Barrandov

Annotation

The paths for runners and dog walkers serves as a meeting point for the residents of Barrandov. A former pond enclosed by a fence, thickets of shrubs, an orchard, a strict apartment block and a cluster of houses resembling a garden city. All these are the characters of the place where the LDN Barrandov is located. In my design, I tried to enhance the character of the place and at the same time create a functional environment of the treatment center, with pleasant views. The house bears the unusual shape of a curved five-pointed star, and embraces with its arms the present potentials that the place offers. Its low-rise character does not compete with the surrounding buildings, at first glance it is lost in the avenues of trees.
