Exhibition of Studio Projects

Annotation

The zoo should not be an amusement park or museum. We try to find a way somewhere in between using understandable geometry. To the massive concrete buildings, we always add a more fragile steel structure for the visitor. The main point of the program in the giraffe pavilion will always be the giraffe. The pavilion serves the giraffe not only as her home but also as her stage. After entering the pavilion, the spectator looks up at the giraffe from the ground. Along the western wall, one watches a two-level-high giraffe from the balcony. Large viewing windows complete nice scenery in the background of giraffes in a common stable. Compact form of the pavilion is smoothly terminated by a semicircle.
