Annotation

Náchod is located in the Polish border area. Structure of the city is strongly influenced by by the morphology of the terrain that encloses it into an elongated valley. There are three distinctive linear barriers - the river, the river and the railway. In the context of of the whole city is reflected in its rich industrial history, whose legacy to the present are extensive brownfield sites. The area in the western part is clearly defined by the railway and the river, separating it from the rest of the city. The large-scale production sites limit the the permeability of the area. The proposal seeks to address the current barriers to better grasp the barriers and use small interventions to transform them into significant attractors of the city.
