CONFERENCE CENTRE AND LIBRARY MARIÁNSKÉ LÁZNĚ

The intention was to create objects that refer to the history of the site and give them a new use and appearance. Therefore, 2 objects were created on the site, bordering the historical ground plan of the defunct spa houses. At the beginning, the idea was to create a vista on such an important site that would connect the Peace Square with the city park. Subsequently, a library and conference centre were proposed to make the site more attractive and another possible way to connect the historic centre with the park. In order to achieve a unified appearance of the perimeter of the integrated historic block, a uniform façade of aluminium foam slats was chosen, with a distinctive vegetation line running through the centre, resulting in a green façade on both buildings.
