Liboc garden

The studio assignment in the winter semester concerned the former cemetery in Liboc, which is located in close proximity to the Hvězda park. It is an open, landscaped area that has not been buried for over 100 years. However, the question arose as to how to use this space in the future. The aim of the assignment was to find a new form of burial, farewell, remembrance or even a completely new function. A solution to the inadequate access conditions or a connection with the Hvězda park. The concept and design changes the function of the former Liboc cemetery into a public garden, which is based on the typology of the site and is based on the historical gardens of the hortus conclusus (enclosed garden) type. It is a place for rest, contemplation and awareness of the present.
