TO DEMOLISH OR NOT TO DEMOLISH – that is the question. Is it more important to let cities grow uncontrollably or to resist and start addressing it? Stop, add, reconstruct, demolish – and it's done. To demolish – and forever halt the city's expansion and initiate the densification process. To bring new perspectives, a new direction, and new space into the city. Discard a piece of history in favor of the future? Is it even possible? Panel buildings are literally found on every corner, not only in Petřiny, and that's why I decided to propose modular houses that can connect to G57 panel buildings and their variants by demolishing one of the modules. I deliberately left the gables of the residential buildings empty for further possibilities of growth and densification.
