Husův park in Tábor

During semester I focused on Husův park, a park located in the city of Tábor in the southern region of the Czech Republic. Husův park is surrounded by a bus station and a train station. For visitors and travelers Husův park is the first place they come across when coming to the city. Due to its scale and location the park is playing a representative role, it is framed by town housing blocks making it a the area´s central space. In contrast to positive aspects of the park, people perceive it on the whole negatively. The park deals with a criminalty problem occuring namely because of a bad overview and very dense vegetation causing barriers. The project brings new arrangement and functions to the park and it copes with the current difficulties.
