Senior Housing Na Perštýně

The project is located in Prague’s historic centre, where Renaissance, Baroque, functionalist and cubist architecture meet. The house is designed as senior housing with emphasis on community and a high-quality living environment. A street-facing café enlivens the ground floor and supports intergenerational interaction. At the rear, by a quiet atrium, are GP and dentist surgeries. The main theme is openness and mobility, expressed through glazed facades with movable louvres, allowing the building’s character to shift from transparent to closed. The house reacts to light, weather and the residents’ need for privacy. Its form and façade connect the surrounding buildings and complement the street frontage without disrupting the character of the area.
