The Painter's House

Jakub Mačák

Annotation

The house is located on the edge of Holyně, at the boundary between buildings and nature. I designed a house that responds to the architecture of the surrounding structures while naturally blending into the natural environment. The architectural concept reflects the needs and lifestyle of a painter, offering a peaceful space for living and creating. The goal was to design an environment that fosters creativity while allowing the artist to draw direct inspiration from nature. The house is divided into two material parts: the lower part, embedded in the terrain, is made of concrete and forms a solid base, while the upper part is made of wood, creating a natural connection with the surrounding landscape.
