CLIMB SLOWLY

The conceptual study focuses on the revitalization of a coal mining spoil heap and includes an individual design of a staircase connecting the city with nature. The stairs are designed from wooden beams with a gravel base and a railing made of posts connected by rope. The adjoining path, reinforced with gravel turf, leads across a meadow to the forest. Visitors thus journey from the underpass beneath the railway to the forest, with the chosen natural materials and construction methods enhancing the experience of gradually transitioning from the urban environment into nature.
