MONASTERY IN ZLÍCHOV

The monastery is designed as a tall, nine -consignment building, which symbolically expresses the completeness, perfection and amplification of the Trinity, or even 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit. It is designed for a community of 15 monks, redemptorists. The preservation of the existing cemetery on the edges of the plot has become one of the main concepts of the design, which significantly influenced the location and shape of the building. The monastery is oriented to make the best of the views of the surrounding country. Especially the study room, located under the roof, offers a peaceful space with a view, ideal for reading, contemplation and study.
