Recovery House Happiness

Eliska Křivánková

Annotation

In the heart of the urban structure, a space for tranquility quietly unfolds – a mental health center where architecture merges with the human need for safety, light, and inner balance. This two-story building, clad in warm wood, feels like a touch of nature within the hard body of the city. Generous glass surfaces allow light to flow freely through the space, blurring the boundary between interior and exterior, creating a sense of openness, freedom, and breathing lightness. The upstairs balcony, like a line of silent communication, connects individual rooms in the rhythm of human movement and stillness. This house is not just a building – it is a sanctuary. A place where architecture does not speak in words, but through touch: a calm façade, a soft shadow, the silence of wooden surfaces
