Portfolio Modeling Studio Workshop II

The second semester linked the theme of a custom monogram designed for the specifics of the material and processing technology. Graphic surface composition from colored papers was the basic starting point for the other assignments. The modeled relief was molded into a plaster hoof for the HPS plate vacuum technique. Hard paper parts cut with a laser were composed from surface to space. Contrast of surface and volume was provided by the material of the wood pressed panels, using the graphic element of cutting through each layer. Another surface material sculpted into the space was steel sheet followed by linear composition of iron wire.
