FARMA URBANA

Farma Urbana is a project focused on sustainability and ecology, located on Císařská louka in central Prague, surrounded by the Vltava River. It uses renewable resources and emphasizes water conservation. The greenhouses are arranged in rows along the river flow to reduce resistance during floods. Larger ones are elevated on pillars; smaller ones can be easily dismantled if needed. Year-round growing is possible using hydroponics, aeroponics, and substrate. The main building with a large hall hosts workshops, educational events on cultivation, and serves as a facility for workers. At the highest point of the site are two apartments for administrators—one with two bedrooms, the other with three and an outdoor terrace.
