KAPKAP PET Bottle Opener

Annotation
A drop here, a drop there – but no drop if the bottle remains sealed.
The second assignment in the summer semester was to design an opener for traditional plastic bottles that we encounter daily. I aimed to create a simple, playful object inspired by the shape of a water drop, naturally linking to hydration.
The opener works using a rotating lever. Two metal plates of slightly different sizes rotate around a fixed point, expanding the grip to hold the bottle cap securely. Made from thin steel sheet, its shape and movement feel light and natural — as if opening the bottle is just a continuation of the drop.
The result is a small, functional tool emphasizing simplicity, effectiveness, and clean design, making everyday bottle opening easy and enjoyable.
