FAMILY HOUSE WITH A JEWELLERY SHOP

The design of the family house is a wooden building set in a steeply sloping terrain on the outskirts of the Prague district of Holyně. The key element of the design was an existing mature tree, which I decided to preserve. It became my main inspiration and also the organizing element of the project - around it, individual functional "cells" are gradually developed, divided into public, private and outdoor parts. The house connects family housing and a jewellery shop specialising in personalised jewellery. The public part of the building consists of a shop and an adjoining jewellery workshop. The private part of the house is spread over three floors. In the basement there are technical and storage facilities. The first floor serves as a daily living space, the attic offers an intimate zone
