RECOVERY CENTER - TREE OF UNITY

The mental health center is designed as a set of freestanding cells – intimate spaces for rest, therapy and inner contemplation. These architectural fragments are grouped around a central atrium, the heart of which is a tree – a living symbol of peace, growth and connection. The atrium becomes the orientational and emotional center of the entire building, towards which the individual parts turn. Everything is covered by a structure that connects the cells and creates a social space – an open stage for meetings, sharing and community life. The whole is composed as a place where architecture supports the path to mental balance through harmony between privacy, nature and man. Working with light, vistas and openness towards the atrium allows for constant contact with nature.
