FARMA URBANA - CÍSAŘSKÁ LOUKA

The Urbana Farm is an innovative urban agricultural project set in the peaceful surroundings of Císařský ostrov in Prague. Its aim is to revive food growing right in the city and inspire a sustainable lifestyle. The farm complex consists of a main building, designed for various workshops, lectures or community events, and the caretaker's apartments, which are connected to the main building to form a unified material complex, whose outer shell, formed by a ventilated slatted facade, visually breaks up and at the same time aerates the entire building. The complex includes six smaller greenhouses for growing different types of vegetables and one central greenhouse dedicated to grafting.
