URBAN FARM

Tobias Tykal

Annotation

This project presents the design of an urban farm inspired by the principles of the circular economy and cyclic plant growing. The architectural solution is based on the circle shape, symbolizing a closed system, renewability, and the interconnectedness of all functions. The construction combines modern greenhouse technologies, sustainable architecture, and green roofs that help the building’s energy self-sufficiency. The project is designed as an educational and production center with accommodation, where ecological farming, architecture, and public space are connected. “The urban farm is an architectural organism that embodies the principles of cyclicity, self-sufficiency, and the connection between humans and nature through sustainable growing and education in its circular form.”
