A HOUSE FOR AN ASTRONOMER

The house is located on the slope in Prague, in the Petřiny district, where it connects to the photographer's house via a linking corridor. This corridor symbolizes the connection between science and art. The house for the astronomer is designed with regard to the specific needs of its resident. From the street, the astronomer can access the conference room and, after ascending the staircase, reach his observatory. There, he is provided with a quiet space for nighttime sky observation. From conference room we descend into the private living zone. Here, we find a quiet zone with two bedrooms and bathrooms. On the second underground floor, there is a spacious living room with a kitchenette. This level is connected to nature through direct access to the garden.
