DUPLEX FOR A PUPPETEER AND A SREENWRITER

As part of our project, we worked with a plot located on Na Okraji street in the Petřiny neighborhood of Prague. The sloping terrain of the site had a major influence on the design of the two residential units, as well as the central space – a puppet theatre placed between them, forming both a symbolic and spatial axis of the entire structure.
For this project, we chose two creative professions – a screenwriter and a puppeteer – and designed a semi-detached house that responds to the specific needs of both. Each house works as an independent unit, yet they are naturally connected by a shared cultural space.
