DOUBLE HOUSES FOR SCREENPLAYER AND PUPPETEER

As part of the architectural design, we worked with a plot on Na Okraji Street in Prague's Petřiny. The land is located on sloping terrain and has been divided into two separate residential units and a central space—a puppet theater—located between them. The puppet theater forms a kind of imaginary and spatial axis of the entire building.
For two creative professions - a screenwriter and a puppeteer - we designed a semi-detached house that meets the individual needs of both professions. Both houses function as separate units, but at the same time, they are connected by a common cultural space that naturally connects them. The puppet theater has a capacity of approximately 30 spectators and serves not only to present work, but in the back of the theater, there are also separate studios.
