SMW SS, WS 2024/2025

In the Modeling and Workshop Studio, several connected tasks were given. The work involved using different materials mainly by hand, but also with workshop machines at the Faculty of Architecture, CTU. The first task in the winter semester was to make spatulas from hard wood. Then, we modeled a realistic study of a large paint tube using sculpting clay, focusing on proportions, details, and texture. A plaster cast was made using a wedge mold, and a patina was added afterward. The second semester was about creating a personal monogram. The work focused on the contrast between flat surfaces and space. We mainly worked with paper, sheet metal, and wire.
