Annotation

We worked on a series of interconnected assignments inspired by the Bauhaus foundation course. In the winter semester, we created two spatulas from hardwood – one crafted by hand and the other using machines. Their functionality was tested by modeling an enlarged paint tube from sculpting clay, followed by a plaster cast and patination. The summer semester was centered around the theme of a personal monogram. Starting with a flat paper composition, we created a relief, which was vacuum-formed from HIPS. We then developed spatial objects from laser-cut paper, layered wooden boards, shaped steel sheet, and finally composed a linear structure from iron wire.
