A house with a studio

Finbar Quinn

Annotation

The main theme in Martin Lukáč's paintings is a varied repetition of a certain motif. The shape and composition remain basically the same, but everything around changes. It is a principle that also appears in Joshua Abelow, a painter who had a visible influence on Martin Lukáč. This feature is great for adoption in architecture and is inscribed in the facades by combining and alternating the fillings of the skeletal structure. In addition to clear glass and solid walls, the façade also includes luxfer blocks, slightly reminiscent of Martin Lukáč's paintings, in which a grid often appears. The interior is arranged logically; the studio is separated from the living area by a staircase and a footbridge, while the southern sun and city views are accessible from the terrace by the bedroom.
