In a residential area in the neighbourhood of Zahradní Město in Prague, low-rise Academic Centre provides housing, working and relaxing spaces for students. The block of houses creates various public spaces. Each house offers a campus facility and a small apartment. The concept of the Atelier is all about a curtain wall that covers the whole building and is also accompanied by several supporting columns. The whole building is organized into two sections spanning across three storeys – the atelier itself and a lovely meeting room are opened to the public and accessed from the street, whereas the rest of the building serves as a place for students to live in. Each of the two apartments contains two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room with a kitchen and on top of that, a roofed terrace.
