Memorabile box

The task of this work was to design a box for a memorabilia or personal memory. The box should protect the memory object and at the same time evoke nostalgia for a specific moment in life or experience. I decided to design a box for my first gold earring. When I was little girl, I got earrings from my grandfather as a gift. I remember how excited I was to be able to choose the earrings myself. Although it was a long time ago, I still like these earrings a lot today. At that time I started swimming and during one training I lost one of the earrings in the swimming pool. Design of the box is inspired by the water and the pool. The partially matte surface of the box evokes a blurred image very similar to how we see underwater. The depth of the water is represented by the dark blue.
