Connection

Annotation

The idea of my pavilion is to connect the island in places where there are no roads. These are filled in by a low wooden footbridge in the design. Above the intersection of these roads, a circular pavilion is built, which draws attention to it and doesn't hinder free movement on the first floor. Here, the footbridge is connected to a staircase that takes the visitor to the second floor and the roof. Inside the pavilion, a play of light is played out thanks to the slats on the façade, and there are three elevated boxes that offer different views of the footbridge. The boxes and stairs are then ingeniously tied to the steel beam structure. The roof then offers the visitor further interesting views, but thanks to its circular shape, the visitor can look in all directions
