PAVILION ŠTVANICE

The main impulse for my concept was the lack of roads on the island. I wanted to complete the path around the shore and improve the existing paths. My pavilion stands where the new paths intersect. It serves as a place to rest, hide from the rain, or as a place where people meet, just as the paths meet in the pavilion. In the pavilion, there are crossings in all directions - horizontal, from north to south and west to east, in the vertical and also in the crossing of the stairs. The only source of light in the interior space is the skylight that illuminates the centre of the pavilion. The northern tip, which is positioned above the terrain of the bank, serves as a viewpoint to the opposite bank - Holešovice.
