bridgehead

Annotation
My design is nothing more than the opening of vistas on the main grounds / the most important point of the village / and a new bridge railing. These two details play a big role in the center of the village both due to their appearance and impact on the surroundings, and due to their clear visibility from perhaps all vantage points around St. John.
The bridge was shaped according to the windows of the monastery. The repeated pattern, not recognizable at first glance, suits St. John with its rounded shape and anthracite treatment much more than the current blue one. To open the village square, it was enough to remove a small wall, unnecessary fences and a large thuja tree blocking all overview of the events. In this way, I also achieved the final prominence of the Marian sculptures.
