Boundary without boundaries

The proposed concept for revitalizing the material landfill near Malé Číčovice explores and redefines the concept of boundaries in the landscape, shifting their meaning from rigidity to permeability. A space outlined by a subtle step invites reflection on the connection between the original and the newly designed. While the design is clearly delineated from its surroundings, it remains in dialogue with them. A key element is the transformation of recycled concrete walls, originally used for storage, into a multifunctional artistic space. The design balances material roughness with nature's softness, symbolized by birches, grassy terraces, and a circle of oaks that create a magical atmosphere. By reusing materials, the space serves as a venue for gathering, cultural engagement, expression.
