Petr Matoušů from the Depeartment of Design finished second at the Grand Prix Mobitex 2020 - Student section

Student competition show Grand Prix Mobitex 2020 - Student section, in which students present products, prototypes and models of furniture and home accessories, appreciated the work of student Petr Matoušů from the Department of Design, Studio Fišer-Nezpěváková. He won second place for his design of porcelain coffee cups and saucers, inspired by the shape of wine glasses.
The theme of this year was Experiment. The jury selected from 95 works from 85 authors from secondary schools and universities throughout the Czech Republic and awarded a total of 11 awards. First place went to Sabina Stržínková from Tomas Bata University in Zlín for Tanmi upholstered chair, while Ondrej Mikulec from the Secondary School of Furniture and Business from Bystřice pod Hostýnem won the third place for his violin cover.
According to the chairwoman of the jury Dagmar Koudelková, the quality of this year's competition was high, it presented very successful works and finished products, which were the result of cooperation with specific companies.
