A bet on ecology. Successes of our students in the Reborn Design competition

The second place goes to a tactile folding kit by Hana Kučerová from the Fišer studio. The kit is designed to promote interaction between blind and non-disabled children. The latter learn to recognize geometric shapes, while blind children can recognize individual elements using tactile structures. Third place in the same category went to Vojtěch Vydržel for his design of a frisbee.
In another category, designers and designers processed waste polypropylene from BAT packaging materials. Up to ten tonnes of this is produced annually and has had to be disposed of in incinerators. Karolína Petřeková won first place for her design of the GLO car ashtray, while Ela Dlugopolská came second for the Rehold flower stand, which also won the People's Choice Award.
LIKO-S was the partner of the category Mix of packaging materials. The designers worked with stretch film, binding tapes, or foam dividers. These materials are widely used in industry without being commonly recycled. The jury awarded first place to Anežka Petrláková for her design of the Eightröll storage system. It is designed to organize rolls and drawings for artists or architects. Second place went to the Aterhall dividing board by Štěpán Šuster. The key element is the press-fitted neodymium magnets that ensure reliable attachment of documents. The board can either be installed on the wall or used as a partition to organize the workspace.
The aroma diffuser and humidifier by Natalia Toporková won first place in the category of Luxury gifts made of plastic. The material used in the production was recycled packaging from BAT products. The third place went to a laptop pad by Karolina Petřeková.
Jan Mareš, Rector of Mendel University in Brno, Dalibor Hlaváček, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at the Czech Technical University in Prague, and Eva Svobodová, Director of the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, took over the patronage of this year's challenge.
