TOWN HOUSE IN DOMAŽLICE

The thesis deals with the design of a new urban and architectural solution, which would become a more beneficial replacement for the existing inconveniently placed supermarket in the center of Domažlice and would fully exploit the potential of the site. The analytical part examines the site in the context of the town and at the same time looks for possible convenient functional use. The design aims to create a vibrant urban space that ceases to be a barrier, but, on the contrary, naturally integrates into the existing urban structure. The space is redefined by a group of newly designed buildings with a Secondary School of Applied Arts as the most significant one, which together aim towards creating a local cultural and social center.
