The proposed urbanism of the designed area is based on the inspiration of historical map documents of the "Klášter" castle area. Once upon a time, the castle forest surrounded the designed rural block with its orchards, which was complete. The intention of the solution to the current urban situation was to partially restore the historical volume of the buildings in the area and at the same time to create a new impulse for the revitalisation of Vilémov, which has been losing population over the years. The project attempts to re-create the monastery gardens with orchards to the south and west of the building and to transform the area around the pond into a pleasant public space. The designed structure itself has a stretched, rectangular plan and thus complements the existing built environment, but is separate from it. Its shape helps to divide the exterior into a northern public part oriented around the pond and a southern private part, which serves almost exclusively for the monks of the monastery. The combination of the building's functions ensures an offer for a large variety of customers, workers, and guests. Due to the different functions on the floors, there is an unconventional layout with no interior staircase. The architecture is austere and minimalist in the spirit of the Benedictine order, but has a high level of detail. The building is designed with the utmost consideration for context, orientation to the world directions, ease of overview and distribution of functions.
