URBAN STUDY OF ŽIŽKOV HOUSING ESTATE DEVELOPMENT, HAVLÍČKŮV BROD

This thesis presents an urban revitalization concept for the Zizkov housing estate, taking a conceptual attitude towards addressing housing estates as an important social phenomenon. The design is focused on the creation of a readable urban structure and its connection to the existing town structure, thereby leading to the strengthening of the residential quality of the whole locality and enhancement of the relationship between the habitat and its inhabitants. Parking solutions, completion of new functions and new housing typologies are also included in the design. The detail design shows what the hierarchized spaces have to offer to new and current inhabitants.
