Apartment House with Theatre

This new apartment block with a theatre is situated at Králíkova street in Brno and it is a part of a new city planning concept, created by Unit studio. The building is a part of a new town block that aims to connect the public space in the street and the partly intimate space inside the block. This connection is mediated by a passage, placed at the main axis of the house. The concrete facade evokes the impression of a theatre curtain, while the theatre itself is in the basement. The flats are located in the upper levels and their size gradually grows towards the top.
