Mountain Cabin Velká Deštná
Architecture and Urbanism, Bachelor Project
Annotation
The topic of thesis is a mountain cabin. The land on which the building is located is in the Orlické Mountains directly below the peak of Velká Deštná 1,105 m. There are no utility lines on the plot, so I designed this project as an island house and used mostly renewable resources. The height of the terrain and the floor in the buffet is 800 cm due to the high snow drifts that appear regularly in the winter. The cottage consists of three parts - cozy, buffet with mountain services and technical facilities. These three parts are separated from each other by the footbridges from the pororošt and are connected by a corridor on the object axis. The main area of the buffet is located on the center line of the building, as it is the center of all things. This center is underlined by an inner round fireplace with an open fireplace and modular seating that can be spread throughout the buffet. The main area operator is provided from the delivery window from the area of the mountain service area. This space is partially basemented for storing food and beverages. Mountain Rescue Service also has a partial attic that serves for occasional overnight stays. In the third part there is a wood warehouse and a utility room. At the same time, the gable triangular walls, both interior and exterior, are designed as a wood warehouse. The supporting structure of the building consists of a wooden truss made of glued BSH beams. The cross-section of the beams widens towards the ridge. Wall and floor tiles are mainly made of wood and the facade, or roof covering, is anthracite folded sheet. On the south side of the roof are thin-film photovoltaic panels, smoke glass sheets are placed over the windows to maintain integrity.
