ART CENTER, FAVIGNOLA

The goal of this project is to propose Art center on the island of Favignana, near Sicily in Italy. The program is based on the Young Architects Competition in collaboration with the Favignana and italian government. I am proposing Art center on the spot of the Santa Caterina fortress, that should follow the current development of the village as a tourstic destination. It should be a place for gathering, culture and creative work, inspired by the surrounding nature. The proposal is more than just a simple museum. It is focused on building a laboratory and research environment for all the artists. It is meant for artists and tourists and their accomodation, as well as general public, where it should serve as a community center for the local residents.
