TOWN CENTRE, MOST

The thesis deals with the urban study of Most town centre. The town, that was demolished because of the surface coal mining during 1960's to 1980's and than new-constructed, has never built a strong relationship to its own town centre again. Most doesn't have a stable urban core and compared to other Czech towns with a traditional urban structure, the town is getting unattractive for living. The thesis contains an analysis of problems and potentials of this particular area and a design of a new urban structure and a public spaces network that enables the inhabitation of the town centre in the proper sense and a better identificaton of the people with its environment.
