Annotation

Old Town Square is a showcase not only of Prague, but also of the Czech nation itself. It is the heart of the city and an integral part of Czech history. It is also one of the most visited places in Prague and attracts tourists with its treasures. The square is still not complete. It lacks almost the entire western part, from the town hall tower to the church of St. Nicholas. Today, only a few low trees and tourist stalls stand on the site of the former town hall block and Krenn's house. The task of the studio work was to change this state and add a square to both the missing buildings and the function. On the ground plan of the former town hall block, I propose a space for Charles University. Large-capacity lecture hall – AULA MAGNA with a capacity of 900 people as the main function of the building and two small accompanying halls with a capacity of 120 people.
