Floating neighbourhood

The goal of the diploma project was to design a new use for the water area of the Holesovice Harbor, an ideal floating unit and to join the river with the public space Designed objects are located on the western embankment of the Holesovice Harbor. The resolved area is separated by the water area and the connection between those was established by a proposed bridge. The area was designed to become accessible to public even for recreational use (marina). Floating units organised as attached houses create a whole with public space of the floating club. Proposed architectural solution emphasises the function of each of the objects. The design was enriched for a concept of use of the Bubenske nabrezi.
