The Mělník Library
Architecture and Urbanism, Bachelor Project
The new library building is a solitary house with a square floor plan, which completes the Tyršova Street in Mělník. The library provides access to sources of information and also serves as a social and representative space. The floor plan concept allows for easy orientation and divides the space into several functional parts. The house has a total of 5 floors, of which one is underground, where the archive and technical facilities of the library are located. In the library you can also find a children's department, study room or relaxation area. Due to the lack of seating space, the perimeter walls were used to create individual places for reading or work.
