ADAPTIVE REUSE OF THE ALTENBERG INDUSTRIAL PARK - JIHLAVA

In my diploma thesis, I focus on the conversion of a historically very significant industrial complex. I propose modifications and additions to the brownfield in Staré Hory in Jihlava. The conversion is the result of searching for the ideal relationship between the existing and the new. Human scale, cooperation, emphasis on community, adaptability and resilience are values that I try to apply to the conversion. A prerequisite for this is a change of approach not only normative, but also ideological. Existing building regulations often limit or completely exclude such construction. Altenberg is about living, working, spending free time and all this sustainably in the long term.
