ŠTEFANSKÁ HUTA - ADAPTIVE REUSE OF THE METALLURGICAL PLANT

The diploma thesis deals with the restoration and an adaptive reuse of the Štefanská huta industrial area from the 19th century, which is located in the Spiš region in eastern Slovakia. The preserved objects are in a state of ruin, some of them are only relics. The goal was to preserve and restore this area to an appropriate extent and make it accessible to visitors in the form of an educational trail. The tourist infrastructure was supplemented with respect to the principles of sustainable tourism.
